Join us on a remarkable joint tour between Canyon Ministries and Biblical Israel Ministries & Tours that highlights the very best of ancient Egypt while drawing meaningful connections to the Bible throughout the journey. This thoughtfully crafted itinerary blends history, archaeology, and Scripture for an unforgettable experience.
In Cairo, we’ll visit the iconic Giza Pyramids, the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, Old Cairo, and the world-famous Egyptian Museum. While in Luxor, we’ll explore the legendary Valley of the Kings and the awe-inspiring temples of Medinet Habu, Luxor, and Karnak.
During our adventure, we cruise along the Nile River, making stops at several significant temple sites along the way. Upon arrival in Aswan, we’ll take a special day trip by bus to see the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples of Ramses II—one of the most breathtaking monuments in all of Egypt.
On our tour, we’ll also spend an entire day in the land of Goshen, making biblical connections to the life of Joseph and the Israelites’ time in Egypt. Throughout our journey, you will gain a deeper understanding of both ancient history and God’s redemptive story.

Nate Loper
Executive Director of Canyon Ministries and founder of Egypt Christian Tours, Nate combines a background in geology with formal training in archaeology and Egyptology. His teaching connects biblical events to the landscapes and cultures of the ancient world. In addition to archaeology and history, Nate will also share fascinating insights into the geology of Egypt—helping you see the land through both a biblical and scientific lens.
Dr. John DeLancey
As director of Biblical Israel Ministries & Tours, Dr. DeLancey has led hundreds of travelers through the lands of the Bible. With decades of teaching experience and a passion for connecting Scripture to real places, he offers an incredibly rich and immersive experience. His deep knowledge of the biblical world and heart for ministry make him a beloved leader and teacher.

The total cost for this 11-Day Egypt Tour is $5,907, which includes round-trip international airfare, U.S. and international departure fuel taxes ($705), gratuities ($305), Egyptian visa fees ($45), domestic flights within Egypt (Cairo, Luxor, Aswan), Nile cruise, all hotel accommodations, two meals per day while on land, and all entry fees to sites listed in the itinerary.

11-Day Egypt Tour + Nile Cruise Itinerary
Step back in time and journey with us on an unforgettable 11-day adventure through the heart of ancient Egypt. From the bustling streets of Cairo to the tranquil waters of the Nile, this immersive tour will guide you through temples, tombs, and timeless monuments that echo the stories of pharaohs, prophets, and biblical history.
Whether you’re walking beneath the shadow of the Great Pyramid, sailing past palm-lined riverbanks, or exploring the lands once known as Goshen, each moment is designed to deepen your understanding of Egypt’s rich cultural legacy and how it connects to the Bible. Get ready to discover the land where history and faith intertwine.
Day 1 – Saturday, February 21: Departure for Cairo
Our journey begins as we gather at our departure airports and board our international flights to Cairo. Settle in, enjoy the in-flight entertainment, and get ready—tomorrow we arrive in the land of the Pharaohs!
Day 2 – Sunday, February 22: Arrival in Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, we’ll be warmly greeted by our local representative and escorted to the Le Meridien Airport Hotel. After checking in, we’ll enjoy dinner and a restful evening as we prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 3 – Monday, February 23: Luxor’s East Bank
After breakfast, we’ll fly to Luxor and board our Nile cruise ship before noon. Today’s exploration begins at Karnak Temples—an immense religious complex dedicated to Amun Ra, the “hidden” god. We’ll continue to Luxor Temple, a magnificent structure in the heart of ancient Thebes. After returning to the ship, we’ll enjoy dinner and an Egyptian folkloric show onboard. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 4 – Tuesday, February 24: West Bank of Luxor & Nile Cruise Embarkation
This morning, we explore Luxor’s West Bank. We’ll visit the famed Valley of the Kings and step inside three ancient tombs (with an optional visit to King Tutankhamen’s tomb). Next is the impressive Temple of Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs at Deir El-Bahari, followed by Medinet Habu, where Ramses III’s battles are vividly depicted. We’ll end the day at the Colossi of Memnon before returning to the ship for lunch and sailing toward Edfu. Dinner and overnight onboard.
Day 5 – Wednesday, February 25: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples
After breakfast, we’ll visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, honoring the falcon-headed god of the sky. Then we cruise to Kom Ombo to see its rare twin temples—one for Sobek, the crocodile god, and the other for Haroeris. As we sail toward Aswan, take in the timeless beauty of the Nile. Dinner and overnight onboard in Aswan.
Day 6 – Thursday, February 26: Abu Simbel & Aswan
Today we travel to the breathtaking temples of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II and dedicated to Ra-Horakhty and Queen Nefertari. After returning to Aswan, we’ll visit the massive Unfinished Obelisk, offering insight into ancient stonework. Later, we’ll enjoy tea aboard the ship and a relaxed evening. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 7 – Friday, February 27: Aswan & Return to Cairo
After breakfast, we’ll visit Aswan’s High Dam—an engineering marvel—and take a scenic motorboat ride to Agilika Island to explore the Temple of Philae, dedicated to Isis. Later, we’ll fly back to Cairo, enjoy dinner, and settle in for the night.
Day 8 – Saturday, February 28: Old Cairo & Grand Egyptian Museum
Today we journey through Old Cairo, visiting ancient Christian churches and a historic synagogue that reflect Egypt’s diverse spiritual heritage. We then visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb and countless other antiquities. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.
Day 9 – Sunday, March 1: Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Saqqara
After breakfast, we’ll stand in awe before the Pyramids of Giza, including the Great Pyramid of Khufu—the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World—and the iconic Sphinx. In Saqqara, we’ll explore the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the tombs of Ti and Ptah, gaining deeper insight into Old Kingdom burial practices. Return to the hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 10 – Monday, March 2: The Biblical Land of Goshen
Today we venture into the Eastern Delta—the biblical Land of Goshen. We’ll explore Bubastis, once home to the cat goddess Bastet and possibly the region where Joseph settled his family. Then it’s on to Tanis (Zoan), with its towering statues of Ramses II and the tomb of Shoshenq I. We’ll reflect on our journey over dinner back at Le Meridien Airport Hotel.
Day 11 – Tuesday, March 3: Farewell or Journey Onward
After breakfast, we’ll head to Cairo International Airport for our flight home—or continue the adventure with a flight to Tel Aviv to begin the Israel tour. Safe travels!
